Windows 7 End-of-Life Information

On January 14th, 2020 Microsoft will end support for Windows 7 (all versions).

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?

"End-of-Life" doesn't mean your computer will just stop working. However, it does mean that your PC will be more succeptible to attacks as new unpatched exploits arise. Typically within a year after EOL browser developers like Google (Chrome), Mozilla (Firefox) and Apple (Safari) will no longer update their browsers to work with older versions of Windows. Typically Anti-virus vendors will also end their support shortly after EOL.

Tiny Planet Computer is here to help. We offer two solutions for users of Windows 7. They are:

> Upgrade your current computer to Windows 10 - We are offering a special to all users of Windows 7 from now through the month of January. There are three tiers of upgrades available - For $105 we will check your computer for Windows 10 compatibility, any issues, remove any malware or virus infections and upgrade your computer to the latest build of Windows 10.

For $199 we will do all the above PLUS upgrade your old mechanical hard drive to a 500GB SSD.

For $249 we will upgrade your old hard drive to a 1TB SSD and perform all the upgrade services listed above.

> Purchase a new computer - All new computers ship with Windows 10. If you purchase a computer from Tiny Planet Computer between now and the end of January we will set up the new computer and migrate all your data at no extra charge.
